So what does a doctor do that suddenly has no income? Seeing as how my income as an independent country physician not owned by a hospital was about $30,000 per year, I don’t have any savings or retirement. My work was more like a mission for God than it was a career. So right now I am in dire straits financially. I have been working on a book for a while now about a doctor raided by the government because of pain management. There might seem to be some similarities between my situation and that of the protagonist. However, this book is fiction. It does give the reader some insight into what happens when an out-of-control government is out to get a citizen only doing their job, when the government has an agenda. In real life this is happening all over the country. People need to be aware and stop having such faith that their government has their interests at heart. Ours doesn’t. More will be written about that in future blogs.
I have currently written about 37,000 words. I hope the book will end up between 70,000-100,000, so I am halfway through. Now, with no job, I hope to get it finished quickly. The second thing I am doing is selling my house and my business building in Dublin. My house is situated on 30 acres of beautiful rolling pasture, with almost a 360-degree view of mountains. It is 5000 sq ft, broken down into three separate businesses. It would be a great investment property. I don’t have either of them listed yet, but they will be on www.forsalebyowner.com. Please, no solicitation from Realtors. I’m taking enough of a hit on these properties because of the economy. I’m going to try to sell them myself.

I hope people who support me will support my store. Friends in the local area have known about my store, but they have not visited. I will probably keep the storefront open another month, and if things don’t pick up I will have to close it down to save utilities. But the online store will still be there. Anyone can order here. I have been told the online store is hard to use. I don’t know why, and no one has told me what problems they are having. So if you want something and can’t seem to get it through the store, please contact me and let me know. I will be making some changes, but that will be coming later.
