Disease is caused by the gradual accumulation of toxins. At first the body can handle it. That’s why kids run fevers, get violently ill, but then get better again quickly. They are usually in the psoric miasm (homeopathic lingo—to be covered at a later time). But over the years, through stopping fevers with Tylenol, acidic diets, medications and STRESS, the toxins cannot get processed and destroyed, and must be stored. Where you store your toxins depends on your family tendencies (some genetics, but also past familial exposures to environment). As the cells of your organs accumulate more toxins, their action is affected and eventually disease shows itself. But the disease has actually been building in your body through your entire life. Using the bridge concept, if you are born healthy you are on the centerline. And then gradually through your life, you slowly work your way sideways even though you are walking forward. Eventually you are at the edge of the bridge, and one little thing pushes you off. In the past people used to say their body fell apart at age 40. In actuality, it took them 40 years to reach the edge of the bridge. Nowadays that is happening much faster. People are developing diseases in their 20s now that we used to not see until 60.
Often people think that what they need to feel better are vitamins. Vitamins are essential, and too many diets are deficient, but vitamins alone are not enough to stop the development of disease. In a dirty algae-filled aquarium, it doesn’t do much good to place pretty expensive gems. It will still be a dirty, ugly aquarium.
The organ system that absorbs the most toxins is the gut. Toxins are taken in through your food, water, and medications. So that is where you need to start. First, make sure that what you eat and drink is as toxin-free as you can. Diet will be covered in other segments, but the rule of thumb is, eat natural. Avoid processed foods. That means stay out of the aisles at the grocery store and eat what is real, around the edge, with some exceptions to be discussed later. Primarily eat vegetables, then fruits. One easy practice you can adopt is to think when you buy something, if I sit this on my counter for 2 weeks will it still be eatable. If it would be, don’t buy it—it is full of toxins that prevent decomposition.
Another very important substance that your body needs regularly is clean, pure water. That does not mean coffee, tea, or soda, but WATER. And tap water is evil, filled with toxins. Even fluoride is a toxin, sold to you by the government telling you it helps your teeth. In actuality, it causes improper formation of bone, and should be avoided. If your children’s diet is alkaline, dental decay will not be a problem and you will not cause bone deformation. And then finally, you need to heal the intestinal lining. Over the years of taking antibiotics, the normal, healthy gut flora (necessary bacteria) were killed off. Bad flora took their place. The bad flora weaken the intestinal lining, creating leaky gut syndrome. This allows the passage of toxins through the wall that would otherwise be prevented. So instead of being a barrier, the gut lining becomes a sieve, allowing bad things into the blood stream. Also, with our refined diets, our foods, with the accumulated toxins, sit in the large intestine longer than usual. Instead of the normal 1-2x/day bowel movement, some people go several days between bowel movements. This allows the absorption of more toxins.
